a Purdue University study on how drivers’ age and gender determines the
severity of injuries in a serious accident.

A trend in resident hall living
gives new meaning to the term “liberal” arts - undergraduates of the opposite
sex sharing an on-campus room. According to a recent article in the Seattle
Times, some 20 universities and colleges are allowing students of
the opposite sex to live together in university dorm rooms.

In case you missed it, the City
University of New York lost a big one back in 2004, and the Appellate
Court recently upheld the bulk of the award - $2.5 million for past pain
and suffering and $2.5 million for future pain and suffering.
