    A few weeks ago I queried the membership about vehicle driving policies on or off campus, stemming from a Purdue University study on how drivers’ age and gender determines the severity of injuries in a serious accident.

    A trend in resident hall living gives new meaning to the term “liberal” arts - undergraduates of the opposite sex sharing an on-campus room. According to a recent article in the Seattle Times, some 20 universities and colleges are allowing students of the opposite sex to live together in university dorm rooms.

    In case you missed it, the City University of New York lost a big one back in 2004, and the Appellate Court recently upheld the bulk of the award - $2.5 million for past pain and suffering and $2.5 million for future pain and suffering.

    In an effort to change student attitudes, Syracuse University’s newly-formed Office of Student Life has launched a new initiative to stop students from participating in drinking games, a common activity at fraternity houses.
